How the card works
At Playtime Casino Kelowna, Encore Rewards membership is free. The card is issued at Guest Services, and staff need to see valid ID. It has four levels: Diamond, Double Diamond, Triple Diamond and Elite. Some levels carry a larger discount at the Arcade Bar than others. The casino's phone is 250-860-9467.
Members earn points at Gateway casinos and community gaming centres, including when dining. The card also brings birthday offers, event invitations and discounts on entertainment tickets and hotels. Chances Casino Kelowna describes the card in shorter terms. There, members earn points on play and redeem them for play credit and dining discounts. Ask Guest Services at either casino how points move between the two.
Can I get the Encore card?
Three questions and your level
Sign-up is at Guest Services with valid ID; guests must be 19 or older. Arcade Bar discount: 10% for Diamond and Double Diamond, 15% for Triple Diamond and Elite.
The Arcade Bar discount
The Arcade Bar sits at the centre of Playtime's casino floor and is open 4 pm to close, 7 days a week. Encore Rewards members get a discount there by level: 15% for Elite and Triple Diamond, 10% for Double Diamond and Diamond. MATCH Eatery & Public House, the casino's pub, does not publish its hours. Holiday hours are not published, so a phone call is the check.
Who gets through the door
Playtime's code of conduct sets the minimum age at 19, the legal gambling age in British Columbia. Valid government-issued photo ID is needed for entry and may be requested at any time. People enrolled in Game Break, BCLC's voluntary self-exclusion program, are refused entry at the door.
Enrolment happens in person at any casino, with photo ID and a staff member guiding the process. Every B.C. casino has a GameSense Advisor. Chances also runs a GameSense information centre where staff explain odds and help set personal limits. Gambling Support BC is free at 1-888-795-6111.
