Online casino play in B.C.
Both Kelowna casinos, Playtime Casino Kelowna on Water Street and Chances Casino Kelowna on Springfield Road, are land-based rooms. Online play in British Columbia runs under its own rules, and this page sets them out.

The rules in B.C.
Gambling in British Columbia is legal only when the provincial government runs it through BCLC. BCLC runs PlayNow.com, the province's own online gambling site. B.C.'s gambling regulator is the Independent Gambling Control Office, or IGCO. The rule applies in Kelowna as anywhere else in the province.
The IGCO states that PlayNow.com is the only regulated commercial online gambling website permitted to operate in B.C. By the same statement, other online gambling sites that accept B.C. players operate illegally in the province. The legal age for gambling in British Columbia, casinos included, is 19. A Kelowna reader faces the same age rule at either casino door and on PlayNow.com.
The two casinos and online play
Chances Casino Kelowna says it has not launched an online casino. It warns about scam sites that use its name. Game Break, BCLC's voluntary self-exclusion program, covers PlayNow.com as well as entry to B.C. casinos. Private online sites sit outside it, so enrolment does not block them. Since April 13, 2026, terms run 6 months, 1 year, 2 years or 3 years, and a chosen term cannot be changed.
How this guide is paid
Kelowna Casinos is an independent guide, not a casino and not the site of either venue. It takes no bets and has no accounts. Paid links appear on the home page only, and each is marked Ad. There are three: a button in the menu, a block just below the first screen and a block near the end of the page.
All three go to one private online casino partner, which pays the guide a commission. The partner is not PlayNow.com and is not connected with Playtime Casino Kelowna or Chances Casino Kelowna. It is not licensed in B.C.: the IGCO says sites other than PlayNow.com that accept B.C. players operate illegally in the province. The partner can change.
